Event description

Description

Station North is many things to many people--an arts district, a cultural destination, a transit hub, a vibrant community, a place of work, a place of worship, a place of history, or simply home.

Station North Now invites neighborhood leaders, business owners, and residents to come together to discuss the neighborhood, its evolutions over time, and the work people are leading here. Collectively, we will lend our support to grassroots leadership in Station North and explore our vision for the future.

This event will intentionally focus on leaders who are creating community-owned and community-led assets. Their work values community vision, and seeks to build a strong neighborhood for everyone, especially legacy residents and businesses.

Join us to hear from grassroots leaders working in and around Station North. Learn what they are working on right now and why. Contribute your ideas, energy, and connections to move that work forward.

Here is how the evening will flow:

  • Light Meal
  • Learn About Neighborhood Context
  • Learn About Featured Projects
  • Small Group Brainstorms (5 to 6 people / project)
  • Report Out & Connect

The format will be a conversation in small groups, centered around specific questions or issues that our featured leaders face in their work. You will meet new people. You will listen, share, brainstorm, and strategize. You may learn something or teach something.

If you live or work in Station North, this event is for you. We want to fill the room with longtime residents, business owners, community leaders, artists, planners, dreamers, and organizers who understand the neighborhood and have a vision for its future.

Come with an open mind, your best ideas, and a willingness to share.

Please arrive on time and plan to stay for the entire night.

All donations will go to a microgrant fund for neighborhood projects. IHB will match each donation.
