Event description

Description

The Static-99R is the most widely used actuarial risk assessment tool in the United States. Understanding and being able to reliably score this tool is a necessary skill for individuals working with sexual offenders. The Static 99R identifies the RISK part of the risk-needs-responsivity model of treatment need identification. The STATIC 99R scoring rules were clarified in a recent revision. This training will cover the new scoring rules, implications for interpretation, and possible effects on estimation of sexual recidivism. This knowledge will be essential to making decisions about treatment programs and levels of supervision.
