Description
Join the State coalition of NAACP branches the ACLU and the OCDLA for an important LOBBY DAY June 12th 2017. We will be in the Capitol raising our voices in support of the most vulnerable in our communities. We will stand for open Grand Jury hearings, the embedding of ethnic studies in our social sciences, and for greater insight and accountability for our law enforcement agencies through supporting the increased use of Data collection!

10:00 AM- Press Conference with for NAACP Environmental Justice Report RELEASE
11:00am - Noon - Participants Gather Room 350 (3rd floor of the State Capitol, in the old building)
11:00am 12:00 pm Meet & greet - all Lobby Day participants
12:45pm - participant orientation and legislator match ups. Talking Points Sheet for each participant to talk with Legislators.Info Sheet/handout with 2 or 3 most important bills to leave with Legislators.
12:15pm - 12:30pm - NAACP Photo on front steps -
All participants invited, as well as Legislators.
12:45pm - 4:45pm Meetings with Legislators.

- NAACP from Salem/Keiser branch (Reginald Hendrix).
- NAACP from Eugene/Springfield (Eric Richardson, Sandra Bishop).
- ACLU of Oregon (Kimberly McCullough, and intern Marina, who is setting up the appointments with legislators).
- OCDLA Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Assoc. (Gail Meyer).
