Join ICWA for a panel discussion in Washington on the state of foreign news reporting.

The daily political drama fueling our 24-hour news cycle is affecting what Americans know about what's going on in the world. With foreign news reporting already dwindling and under pressure for entertainment and shorter pieces in a changing media landscape, we will discuss what's happening to Americans' understanding about the crucial context of how foreign societies function, their histories and how they perceive the United States. What are the possible lasting consequences for America's role in the world? And how should reporters, editors and media stakeholders ensure better coverage? Join distinguished former ICWA fellows who have reported for leading print, broadcast and digital outlets from around the world discussing their work and the future of foreign news reporting.
