State of the Eastside Forum: Basic Needs
Event Information
Description
The Eastside Decade
Things have changed since Leadership Eastside was launched in 2005. Focus on Basic needs has increased, but so has the need. Given the economic crisis and "recovery"; the changing demographics in East King County; and our ongoing struggle to address the community's needs, the ways in which we take care of each other requires constant examination.
Join other interested community leaders as we wrestle with the question, "What have we learned?"
Featuring:
- Meghan Altimore: Vice President, Community Services, Hopelink
- John Chelminiak: Councilmember, Bellevue City Council
- Mary Leal: President, St. Madeleine Sophie Conference for St. Vincent dePaul

About LE State of the Eastside Morning Forums
Leadership Eastside informs, equips, and connects our community’s greatest assets - its leaders – to meet our community’s greatest needs. State of the Eastside Forums represent an opportunity to bring together community leaders, stakeholders, and other interests to discuss a specific issue of community importance.
LE believes it is important to include a broad cross-section of stakeholders who have the ability to influence the adoption of community-based solutions. It is equally important to include stakeholders who will be affected by the adoption of those solutions.
LE State of the Eastside Forums present a valuable opportunity for members of the LE Network to better understand important community issues as well as providing a safe place for stakeholders to convene and make progress in addressing those issues.
