Event Details

Do you have ideas how to use technology to solve problems facing government? Do you like to collaborate with others to solve problems? Do you want to learn how to use artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve real challenges? We are seeking data-enthusiasts of all skill levels to join us to showcase your ideas!

 

We invite you to participate in the first-ever hackathon that will focus on conversational interfaces including messaging bots and voice-interactive technology. This is an opportunity for a hands-on experience to build engaging bots with the brightest in the community!

 

Please join us for a free hackathon on Tuesday, November 8th and 9th at the TBD Hotel, Springfield, IL 62703.  This event is sponsored by the State of Illinois, Innovate Springfield and Microsoft.  There is no cost to attend this event. 

 

If you are interested in prototyping a solution that helps your organization and provides hands-on experience, sign up today.

How a Chatbot Hackathon works:  

 

If you have an idea that you want to prototype with a chatbot, be sure to sign up to participate!  Here are some ideas of how chatbots can be used as an anytime, anywhere resource to understand how to do business with the State:

 

  • How do I renew my driver’s license…
  • How do I file for unemployment benefits in Illinois…
  • I would like to visit Lincolns home tell me more…
  • I need to talk to the state about creating a new LLC business…
  • I have to pay overdue tolls for the Illinois tollway what do I do…
