Description

Want to know what life is like if you left your job and became an entrepreneur?

Join us November 27 as the Center for an Urban Future's business researcher and former Crain's business writer Judy Messina moderates an exciting panel of career professionals who became startup founders.

On the panel will be:

  • Former Jets/Giants player turned entrepreneur, sports coach and wellness guru Jim Norris of North Jersey Sports Medical Group

  • Author Joyce Slayton Mitchell who after a long career as an advisor at a highly regarded private girls school embarked on a second career as a globe-trotting education consultant

  • Diversity coach and author Betty Ng, who started her entrepreneurial journey after a career at Moody's, Citigroup, American Express and Arthur Anderson, and now heads Inspiring Diversity, LLC

  • Amanda Pilar Smith who traversed the food and hospitality industry with roles at Del Monte Fresh Produce and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel before teaching at The International Culinary Center and most recently launching Amanda Smith Caterers, which serves a New York and Connecticut clientele

Are you Looking for a Startup Partner? If so, join our Special post-event Networking Session between 7:30-9pm. If you're interested in participating, make sure you fill out the survey that will be sent to you before the day of the event.
