Startup (and deploy) Weekend with Wix
Join Startup Weekend and Wix for a 54-hour whirlwind of pitching, business model creation, coding, designing and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of a panel of judges and the awarding of winners.
All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and teams organically form around the top ideas. All ideas, applications and platforms are welcome – remember that the sky is the limit!
Over the course of this Startup Weekend, Wix team members will offer one-on-one guidance on Wix.com’s new SDK and API environment, along with keys to building and deploying a successful app in the new Wix App Market. These resources are available for teams interested in incorporating the Wix platform. Ultimately you and your teammates will need to decide which tools best suit your startup needs.
More than 4 million people engage with the Wix editor each month, publishing more than 1 million new websites. Launched within the Wix editor just three months ago the new Wix App Market has seen more more than 850,000 app installations to date; the average app in the market getting more than 3,000 installations per month. The financial and business opportunities for developers and startups is significant and continuing to grow.

About Startup Weekend: Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurials. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. Whether you are looking for feedback on a idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute, Startup Weekends are the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup.
