Startup Series: "Build Your Financial Model" with Rob Schock

IPIRA will feature a free workshop with serial Chief Financial Officer Rob Schock on "Building Your Financial Model" at the SkyDeck on Tuesday, February 25th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. The workshop will focus on the "why"s and "how to's" of building a financial model for a business. Rob is a part-time and interim CFO for startups.
Rob Schock is a finance specialist with over 30 years of senior management experience. Rob’s experience spans Fortune 100 companies to Silicon Valley start-ups. As CFO, Rob has installed management control systems, developed business plans, created business models, installed accounting systems, run accounting departments, designed compensation programs, and managed investor, bank and auditor relationships. He has designed and implemented several company reorganizations.
Rob is currently a part-time CFO at Picture Marketing (www.picturemarketing.com), a marketing company that was on the list of Bay Area 100 fastest growing companies for two years. Rob also is a founding member of the Venture Consulting Group (“VCG”) -- a network of executives providing consulting and other management services to early stage and emerging technology based companies. Previously, Rob served as CFO of DryVac Environmental, (a manufacturer of water filtration equipment) and Kirtas Technologies, (a manufacturer of book scanning equipment), and as Vice President of Corporate Development for a major equipment leasing company (Itel), and President of an equipment-leasing subsidiary for a regional investment banking firm (Sutro).
In addition to his duties, Rob is a consultant for the Solano County SBDC and has served as a mentor/ambassador for the Keiretsu Entrepreneur Academy, and both the UC Berkeley Haas Business School’s and the UC Davis Business School's Annual Business Plan Competitions.
Mr. Schock has an MA from Indiana University (Economics) and BA from Knox College (Economics). He has taught economics and statistics at the college level, and run workshops and showcases for entrepreneurs.
