Description

STARTUP SATURDAYS FOR FUTURE AND EXISTING SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

The Development Corporation of Columbia Heights in partnership with Drs. Legand Burge and Grant Warner of Howard University will actively engage and challenge course attendees in the immersive Lean Startup entrepreneurship curriculum that is evidence-based and fast-paced. No reading textbooks, case studies or developing papers! Participants are inspired to interact with industry and focus on developing a business model to scale and grow their venture using the Business Model Canvas.

We currently have 10 sessions planned on Saturdays from 10am – 12:30pm; February 9, through April 27, 2019. The workshops are stand-alone so small business owners can select which class is most beneficial to them. The workshops are free, but do require advance registration at smallbizlab.eventbrite.com and the completion of a short application at https://www.dcch.org/signup-form. Continental breakfast is provided. If you have any questions, please call Dr. Erika Ferguson at (202)483-4986 or email at eferguson@dcch.org.
