Startup Product OPEN - Oakland
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @startupproduct #SPOpenO
Startup Product OPEN Oakland welcomes everyone passionate about product excellence, regardless of title, industry, or stage of growth, to come together to share, get feedback, next steps, and find out what it really takes to produce products that contribute to the quality of life on the planet.
Superior products are produced when diverse team members collaborate across functions and disciplines, when business owners and product developers reach out into the market community, empathize with customers, understand the problems from a human perspective, and iterate to create the best solution for the customer, product and business. Incredible ideas often come from people not immersed in the details of a particular field.
Oakland deserves a vibrant community of inspired product people to bring innovative solutions, increase participation in technology products and services beyond silos and barriers, open doors for students and diversity of all kinds, raise awareness and celebrate the great people, products and opportunities currently available within Oakland.
- Doors open at 9am (ends at 4pm).
- Agenda will be created between 9:30am and 10:30am.
- Space for 30+ one hour conference sessions each day.
Startup Product Summit brings together passionate product professionals for a day of lightning talks with product experts. Startup Product OPEN blows open the doors for everyone to contribute, question, and interact with each others' ideas, prototypes, products, problems and process using Open Space Technology.
Open Space Technology is a natural communication process that recognizes that people take responsibility to pursue what they are passionate about, and it ensures that what is important to each participant will be discussed.
Who is invited?
Startup Product OPEN Oakland is the un-conference for all kinds of passionate product people to share, connect, network, learn, inspire and have lots of fun.
Everyone is invited to participate - there are no limits to who is welcome to attend, what industry is represented, what ages, professions, products, or experience - bring it all! (Services, mobile apps, SMBs, consultants also invited!)
Beginning at 10 AM we start with a blank wall and in less than an hour, with facilitator guidance, attendees create a full day, multi-track conference agenda that is relevant and inspiring to everyone who attends. All are welcome to put forward presentations or propose conversations.
Everyone joins together in a circle to introduce themselves with their names and by completing the sentence “I’m passionate about product(s) because….” All the answers are posted to a wall for viewing through-out the day. See More details
We are actively seeking sponsors! Please see this page to learn more about levels
It takes a combination of sponsorships and ticket sales to cover the costs associated with the event and to nurture, sustain and grow on-going community connections beyond the event.
