PROGRAM PRESENTERS
Andrew Harper is in the Corporate group at Fenwick & West and focuses his practice on counseling technology and life sciences companies in all aspects of general corporate and corporate securities law. His practice includes startup counseling, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, SEC compliance and corporate governance. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Andrew served as the General Counsel of a venture-backed technology startup based in the Bay Area and was an associate with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York.
Paul Swegle serves as general counsel to six Seattle startups. He created "Startup Law and Fundraising" after seeing numerous promising startups fail because of easily preventable mistakes. Paul has presented this seminar 25 times across the country and is currently writing his second book, Startup Law and Fundraising. Paul's book, Contract Drafting and Negotiation for Entrepreneurs and Business Professionals is available on Amazon and is consistently a best seller in the contract law category.
