Everyone has an idea, something about the world around them they think could be better. At Startup HSS, you'll be given two days to pitch your idea, gather teammates, and work hard in an effort to turn that dream into a reality. We want to help empower student entrepreneurs to create a bigger impact around the world by building businesses to solve everyday problems.
A ticket gets you:
- 4 meals
- An amazing learning experience provided by some of the best in the business
- A chance to win $500 and 3 months of space at ETC to work on your project!
Tickets are free! If you refer three more people, you will get a free t-shirt at the event!

Is the event overnight?
Unfortunately, the event is not overnight. The timings for the event is 12:30pm to 9:00pm on Saturday October 1st, and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Sunday October 2nd.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
If you don't live close by to the venue, try finding a carpool to get to and from ETC's Haven Campus. At the site, there are three parking options, in the front of the building, to the side, and a big one in the back.
Should I bring anything to the event?
We recommend students to have one or two business ideas ready to pitch in 60 seconds. These can be software, hardware, services, or anything that can be a scalable business.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can contact High School Startups at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 301.799.8477
Can I update my registration information?
Of course! If anything changes, please update the information as it will be beneficial for you and us!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You are not required to bring your printed ticket to the event, although it would be helpful for us. We will make sure every student that comes in is the same one that registered. If you do not have your printed ticket, you are welcome to state your name and grade at registration and we will check you off.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
We wish to have the name on the ticket match the attendee for the safety and security of all students and personel at the event. If there is an issue, however, we will try our hardest to work with you and solve it, as we want all students to have the best opportunity to change the world.
