Event Details

Kevin Callahan Co-Founder, Map My Fitness

Come hear Kevin Callahan share how he created MapMyFitness at Austin's December Startup Grind. Callahan leads the Innovations Group within MapMyFITNESS, Inc., a venture backed inc500 company focused on empowering the active lifestyle through health and fitness websites and mobile applications.

Kevin created the original MapMyRun to help him map and record the runs he completed over the course of his training for his first marathon. In 2006, he teamed up with Jeff Kalikstein and Robin Thurston to form MapMyFitness and envisioned the launch of a wide variety of fitness related websites aimed at empowering individuals to live healthy and active lifestyles. Before his foray into the fitness industry Kevin was Lead Architect at SiteLab; VP Technology at Universal Travel Insurance; Director of Development at PopStick. Kevin attended Johns Hopkins where he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
