Speaker Bio:


Dr. Walter Mok, a multi-technology entrepreneur, scientist, educator and optimist examines “What makes Silicon Valley click” and “Traces of a successful entrepreneur.” Technology fuels business. He coauthored a 2018 PRL paper on Phase-Change-Material, with SLAC-National-Laboratory.

Ms. Ruming (Catherine) Liu is a seasoned corporate attorney, with over a decade of experience representing U.S. domestic and international public and private companies and financial institutions in connection with a variety of venture financing, M&A and capital market transactions. Prior to founding MagStone Law, Ms. Liu worked for Morrison & Foerster LLP in its Palo Alto, Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices and for Jun He Law Office in its Beijing office. Ms. Liu is appointed as mentors for Stanford's Summer Session Course entitled Technology Entrepreneurship.

Ir Yeung, Head of Electronics & Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Clusters, Smart City Platform of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, is responsible for the cluster development, market strategy and development of the Smart City platform. A Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and served as the Chairman of the Electronics Division (2009-2010 Session) of the Institution, Ir Yeung has over 25 years of experience in business management and technology development. Peter holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Oregon State University and a Master degree in Business Administration from the York University of Toronto. Peter is also a member of IEEE and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Society.

Mr. Lawrence Tang is specialized in investment promotion and facilitation. Together with Invest Hong Kong, the HKSARG agency dedicated to promoting inward investment in Hong Kong, Mr. Tang provides information, advice and assistance to facilitate U.S. companies in setting up and expanding their business in Hong Kong. Mr. Tang holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Hong Kong, a bachelor’s degree in laws from University of Wolverhampton (UK) and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Warwick (UK).
