WORKSHOPS OUTLINE

Fundraising Strategy - Do's and Dont's: 6:15 pm -7:15 pm

The US presents huge market opportunity to startups, being one of the wealthiest and largest countries in the world, as well as being home to many of the world's largest corporations, which are constantly shopping for new technologies. The first step to successfully building a company in America is getting funded, and that is not always easy for first-time entrepreneurs, who are not familiar with a venture culture and lack the network.

This presentation gives entrepreneurs practical, step by step insights on how to navigate the ceremonial dance that is raising money in the US - from identifying the right investors, to scoring meetings with them, to knowing what to present and how to say it and how to follow up. Of course, raising money successfully also depends on other core components such as having a strong business case, but assuming that's already there, consider this presentation as your rulebook of VC etiquette in the US.
