Show Me the Money! Understanding the basics of Business Finance is a crucial skill for any business owner. Financial information can determine the feasibility of a company, from Startup Costs to Pricing Your Product to Cash Flow Forecasting to Reading Financial Statements, business finance is definitely one of the hats an entrepreneur has to wear and be comfortable in.

During this workshop, you will:

  • Analyze the initial costs involved in launching a business
  • Look at ways to price and cost your products
  • Develop a Cash Flow forecast
  • Get an overview of standard financial statements

By attending this seminar, you will increase your business knowledge well beyond your product. You will gain insights and understanding into the basic financial elements every business needs to consider in order to grow.


Presenters' Bio

Alexander Vo is an entrepreneur and start-up enthusiast. His first venture began while he was attending York University’s Schulich School of Business. Alexander operated his own investment fund during his four years there, and also ran an online mentorship service teaching clients from around the world how to trade the capital markets. After graduating, he started a consulting practice mentoring start-up founders on raising capital before cofounding Peerfunder with Jonathan Lam, where he currently works as the CFO. He is also presently the Director of Sales for LocalCoin, a rapidly growing crypto currency exchange based in Toronto.

Jonathan Lam is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and private lender that has founded and funded several companies across Canada. Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of Peerfunder, a financial services company that empowers small businesses and entrepreneurs through innovative methods of financing. He is also one of the managing partners for LocalCoin, a crypto currency exchange that is one of the fastest growing companies in Canada. Formally he was the business development manager for Crossmo Technology Corp., a research analyst at a boutique investment firm, and an intern for Oak Investment Partners.
