What is Activation Festival?

Join the Ion May 9 - 13, 2022 to celebrate the official week-long grand opening, known as Activation Festival. Houstonians and visitors alike will have the opportunity to experience an array of exciting, futuristic activations and programs along with a stellar lineup of keynote speakers and whimsical experiences throughout the week. In partnership with Microsoft, Chevron, Aramco, Baker Botts, Intel, bp, and Rice Management Company, we are thrilled to open our doors and have the ‘Future of HOU’ on full display for the City of Houston to see! The Ion reserves the right to capture and broadcast digital media content in the form of professional photographs, live-streaming, audio, and video during events hosted at the Ion. By attending events at the Ion, you hereby grant permission to the Ion and its representatives to photograph and/or record you during the in-person and virtual events, and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval or payment.
