Starting a Nature Journal Sunday November 15th, 10 AM-12 PM Rancho Canada del Oro Interested in finding a new way to connect with nature? Start a lifelong hobby of nature journaling. You will strengthen you observational and writing skills while discovering a creative way to enjoy the natural world. Through sketching and descripting plants/wildlife you can improve your skills for identifying and recording species. This fun activity can be enjoyed in many locations (yard, local park, or even on vacations), year round, and can be done over short bursts of time (10 minutes here or there). Come enjoy the beauty of fall with us and learn how to appreciate the small details that make it great from leaves and acorns too colorful landscapes and migrating birds. For this activity hiking is not required. Participates will be encouraged to wander and find things to journal about but trail is short and ADA accessible. Adults and 14+ welcome. Journal & pencils provided. Led by docent Doug Greer and Christine Zack. Rain cancels. Program is limited to 20 people.
