Event description

Description

Join us for this interactive, information-packed full day workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs in arts and culture.

This one day session is for those who want to turn their artistic strengths into a full or part-time business.

The morning will be spent on learning what you need to do to formalize and align your thinking as a prospective entrepreneur: crystalizing your vision, understanding the construct of a creative business and the importance of a formal plan, and how to transform your artistic strengths into a revenue generating enterprise.

Regardless of the scale of your vision, we touch on the key areas you need to address in order to get started: how to transition from creative professional into creative entrepreneur, internal workings of a business, business planning, branding and marketing.

In the afternoon you will engage in a hands-on activity, where you will become an entrepreneur, and in a small group, turn an artistic idea into a creative business opportunity.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided (vegetarian options will be available)

Workshop participants will be entered into a draw to win $100.00!
(Please note, participants must attend the full day to be eligible for the draw).

About the facilitator:

She is also the co-founder and facilitator of "Business of Arts", an art entrepreneurship workshop for visual artists.

This workshop is presented by WorkInCulture with support from the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

Lunch is sponsored through generous support from the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission.
