This interactive webinar will focus on the challenges and opportunities that a collaborative and international approach to entrepreneurship education offers.

It will focus on a current programme of entrepreneurial summer academies, STARTIFY7, and include the perspectives of educators, early stage entrepreneurs and programme organisers.

Drawing on important insights gained over the duration of the 2 year programme, the webinar will share feedback from investors, industry specialists, universities, the business community and students.

About the Speakers

Dr Miguel Pérez Valls- Associate Professor: Universidad de Almería

Miguel is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Almeria, Spain. His research is focussed in organisational innovation, especially in analysing how organisational practices can develop capabilities such as flexibility, learning and innovation. Miguel was the project lead for the STARTIFY7 summer academy in augmented reality.

Kate Penney-STARTIFY7

Kate is the project coordinator of STARTIFY7 and PhD candidate at the University of Sheffield. As an experienced lecturer and project manager she is especially interested in collaborative approaches to curriculum design, especially those that promote the skills, knowledge and attitudes associated with entrepreneurship education.

Ms Opeoluwa Ashimi Co-founder/ CEO M'Care Project UK

Opeoluwa, a STARTIFY7 winning participant, is a result-oriented professional, passionate about the healthcare industry. After garnering experience in hospital (primary to tertiary care) and community care systems, she has observed the need for innovative business models that take advantage of advances in digital technology to improve healthcare systems and redefine the needed structures in neglected populations. Focusing on Bottom of Pyramid markets and Low to Medium Income populations (BOP-LMIs), she believes frontier solutions can address the global challenge of healthcare access with the imminent need to lower costs for maximal social impact.
