ABOUT THIS CLASS
Learn how to evaluate start up business plans, management teams, key employees, investors, and consultants. Then use these skills to create sound business practices at start ups that protect the various stake holders involved. Finally, learn to evaluate growth and exit opportunities at start ups from the perspectives of founders, employees, and investors.
1) Understand some of the fundamental risks associated with creating and running a start up and learn some ways to manage those risks
2) Learn how and when to seek out advice while creating and running a start up from people who can possibly help manage situations unfamiliar to you and your team
3) Learn how to put together a start up team that helps you to challenge your assumptions and brings different perspectives to building your business
4) Learn how you and your team can be constructively critical of and challenge your own business plans, ideas, culture, and beliefs with the goal of constantly making them better
PREREQS & PREPARATION
General knowledge of start ups and businesses.
This course is intended for anyone who is a start up founder, thinking about founding a start up, in a senior executive role at a start up, or an investor in start ups. It will be at its most beneficial if you come with questions or examples from your own experience.
