Description

Join the Mindfulness Taster class to understand what mindfulness is, where it comes from, its effectiveness for a wide range of conditions and to experience it directly through practice led by an experienced teacher.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The class will benefit men and women that would like to help manage anxiety, stress, depression, or emotional or physical pain. It is also suitable for anyone who wants to take time out to develop greater self-awareness and be more in touch with their thoughts, feelings and emotions.

The class can be undertaken in isolation or can be used as a springboard to the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course or the Mindfulness Now course.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE TASTER CLASS?

The teacher will lead at least 3 gentle mindful meditations and will talk about the background to mindfulness and how it can benefit participants.

The class will help participants achieve a calm and relaxed state, while learning how to be fully alert and aware in the present moment.

The teacher will allow plenty of time for participants to ask questions.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?

All classes are scheduled for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There is no additional time requirement.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The Taster Class is completely free if booked through EventBrite. The normal price is £15.

WHERE IS IT HELD?

All classes and courses are held at The Quaker Centre, Downhead Park, Milton Keynes, MK15 9BH.
