Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

A night of Barbecue, Boot-stomping, Bands and Ballads in support of those affected by the recent hurricanes in the southern US and adjacent islands, hosted by American Childrens Theatre in conjunction with Camilla Radford Furman and brad community support! The City of Lights loves the Lone Star State and our friends in the Sunshine State, too!

6-8pm will be Family Friendly Entertainment by American Childrens Theatre, Camilla Radford Furman, Sheldon Forrest, Erin Leslie Colston, Mark Harris and his band, and more!

Then, the adult fun begins with a bluegrass band called Kentucky Hurricane, and we end the night with a fabulously fun Rock set by The Doodads!

Wear your cowboy boots and hats or your dancing shoes, bring the whole family, get ready for some fun, and support an important cause!

Erin Leslie Colston, Director of American Childrens Theatre, is both a native Houstonian and the daughter of Floridians, and seeing the devastation of her hometown, along with the struggles her family and friends will continue to face for the long rebuilding and recovery process, inspired her to reach out, and the Paris Expat community has come together in force to make this happen and show our love for those affected!

Funds raised will be divided and sent to 2 charities: the OneAmerica Appeal, and SBPusa.org - a Hurricane and Flood based support, advocating, rebuilding and also education and preparation for disasters. It was formed in response to Katrina, and works with Americorps. However, you can also choose to donate to one of a list of supported charities and with the proof of that, you can attend our fundraiser as well!

Your entry ticket price will give you a meal ticket, drink (softs) ticket, and access to all the entertainment and fun of the evening. Beer and Wine will be available at a cash bar.

IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND, YOU CAN STILL BUY A "TICKET" TO DONATE TO THE CAUSE, OR SEND YOUR OWN DONATION TO A LISTED CHARITY BELOW! Please also send us the confirmation of your donation to add to our numbers - we would like to know the "results' of how much overall funding gets raised for the cause! EMAIL: events@actparis.com

Tickets cost: 30 euros for individual adult tickets.

Children under age 3 are free.

15 for child tickets ages 3 to 17

25 euros for those between age 18 and 25

OR you can donate the cost of your ticket minus 10 euros to a charity of your choice from the following list, and email us a proof of your donation to have your name added to the attendance list, with purchase of a 10 euro meal ticket in cash at the door. (So, an individual may choose to donate 20 euros or more to a charity of their choosing and then enter the event for 10 euros. A family of 4 could donate 50 euros to a charity of their choice and use that proof and 40 euros to enter our event. We are not as picky about where the money is donated, as long as it goes to help the cause!) YOU MUST SEND US YOUR PROOF OF DONATION TO BE ON THE LIST, SO WE HAVE ENOUGH FOOD! SEND CONFIRMATION OF DONATION AND ATTENDEE NAMES TO events@actparis.com. Don't wait until the "day of", as we don't want to run out of the fabulous feast The Beast is preparing!

We have done research, and these are the charities we support and encourage donating to:

Greater Houston Community Fund, Americares, Portlights, United Way Harvey Recovery Fund, United Way Irma Recovery Fund, Catholic Charities Disaster Relief fund, Matthew 25: Ministries, Episcopal Relief and Development, United Methodist Committee on Relief, World Hope International, Samaritan's Purse

To help with Healthcare and those with disabilities: Americares, Medshare, Direct Relief, Portlight Inclusive Disaster Strategies

Texas Diaper Bank, Miami Diaper Bank, Diaper Bank of Central Florida, Miami Diaper Bank,

You may also donate monetarily to SPCAs, Human Societies, or Food Banks of any of the cities located in disaster hit areas.

If you are interested in volunteering for the event or pitching in, we need all the help you can offer! Please email us at events@actparis.com
