Come heighten your senses and connect with the dark side of Martin Van Buren National Historic Site. Join us for a night hike as we listen to loud traffic diminish to chirping crickets, feel the warmth of day give way to cool night air, and see the light of the sun overtaken by dusk, moon and stars. Discover the stories behind constellations and learn how to find them in the night sky. We'll also explore the grounds and practice using our senses to adapt to the night.
We will meet at the Park Headquarters to start the program and return after to enjoy light refreshments. Bathrooms are only available in park headquarters. The walk will be about 1 mile over flat terrain.
