About this event
The Stanford Medicine 5th Annual Diversity and Inclusion Forum, hosted by the Office of Diversity in Medical Education, will highlight innovative workshops developed by residents and fellows across Stanford Graduate Medical Education programs, with their educational mentors, who have participated in the 2021-2022 cohort of the Leadership Education in Advancing Diversity (LEAD) Program.
The Diversity & Inclusion Forum will be an enriching opportunity for faculty, trainees, students, postdocs, staff, and community members to learn tools and strategies to enable them to become effective change agents for diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education.
Cost: Free
Credits: (3.50 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (3.50 hours)
Credit Designation: American Medical Association (AMA). Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

KEYNOTE UPDATE:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr. Bhushan will not be able to give the keynote.
The talk will be given by Drs. Powell and Yemane on "Five Year Celebration of LEADing into Action: Outcomes from a Novel Graduate Medical Education Program to Build Leadership and Scholarship Capacity in Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"
Objectives:
1. Describe the creation and evaluation of the Leadership Education in Advancing Diversity (LEAD) Program
2. Discuss why programming like LEAD is important for the inclusion and retention of diverse trainees
3. Translate learnings from LEAD into individual practices you can utilize to foster more inclusive environments with trainees and colleagues
