The growth of the Hadoop and Spark platforms for distributed data processing, the Storm, Akka, S4 and related platforms for distributed real time messaging, and various public cloud based computing platforms has put new pressures on the analytics community to support standards for statistical, data mining, machine learning and other analytics models, especially those that support the requirements to support big data, fast data and cloud based data.
This roundtable breakfast seeks to advance the conversation about the community's needs and the opportunities presented by existing standards.
The breakfast roundtable is organized by The Data Mining Group (DMG), an independent vendor led consortium that has overseen the maturation of the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML) standard and shepherded the emergence of a new complementary standard called the Predictive Format for Analytics (PFA).
Who should attend: Data scientists at vendors or in industry at the user or executive level, with an interest in deploying predictive models using standards-based methods.
Format: 15 minute talk, 45 conversation. Continental breakfast will be served.
