Funny Story
Are you a storyteller trying to get into stand-up or work some humor into a piece? Or a comedian wanting to stretch that bit, and link those jokes into a more packed narrative? This workshop will focus on how to find the funny in your story. Bring a set or some ideas you're workshopping. We'll learn some tools to tighten it up.

Natasha Samreny is a writer, storyteller and comedian. Last year, she brought her one-woman show Practice Wedding to London’s Camden Fringe and performed stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her playful style of stand-up blends cheeky observations of everyday life, relationships, and her mixed upbringing as a multicultural military brat. As a playwright fellow with Three Brothers Theatre, she wrote and premiered A Relative Silence with her writing partner at the 2015 Waukegan Theatre Festival. They currently produce All of the Feels, a variety show based in Chicago, where she trained with The Second City and Moving Dock Theatre. She also improvises with Florida Studio Theatre.

She’s about to tour Florida with Chicago’s own Las Locas Comedy and is preparing to take on New York City with her sketch comedy group Millennial Fresh.
