Are Americans more divided and polarized than ever before in the history of our Nation?

About this Event

Explore American Diversity and Unity with the showing of American Creed, a PBS documentary that invites audiences to consider what America’s ideals and identity ought to be. The film showing will be followed by a discussion led by Timothy Dixon, J.D., Associate Professor, Nova Southeastern University College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History and Political Science.

This is the first in a series of three events to explore the differences that unite Americans.

On November 23, 2019, the League of Women Voters will host a presentation and discussion of voting in the United States.

On December 7, 2019 a discussion of Dan Rather's book "What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism"

All programs are from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm and participants can attend all three programs or choose which programs they wish to attend.
