Stand Up. Period. Community Forum with Jennifer Weiss-Wolf
Date and time
Description
On October 15th, please join the Junior League of Wilmington, community members, and elected officials to hear from Jennifer Weiss-Wolf, author of Periods Gone Public: Taking a Stand for Menstrual Equity.
Weiss-Wolf is an advocate who believes that all women deserve equitable access to affordable, safe products. She challenges the stigma of menstruation, arguing that periods should not hold anyone back. Weiss-Wolf has fought to make menstrual products freely accessible as well as free of toxins.
Through its new initiative, Stand Up. Period. The Junior League is committed to addressing the need for equitable access to period products - namely, tampons and pads - for all Delawareans. The Junior League plans to address need through direct service and advocacy, and by building a coalition of individuals and organizations that can work collaboratively to eliminate period poverty in our state. We hope you will join us at the event and, if you are so inspired, partner with us and join our coalition.
**Admission is FREE, but we ask that you consider bringing a donation of tampons or pads**
