A 2010 MAC Award winner for Outstanding Female Comedian, author and actress Mary Dimino also won the Gracie Allen Award for the PBS documentary, Fat: What No One is Telling You, and was featured on NBC'sToday Show. The Gracie Allen Award, presented by American Women in Radio and Television, honors exemplarycontributions of individuals who have encouraged the realistic and faceted portrayals of women in entertainment, commercials and featured programming.
Other TV appearances include HBO's The Chris Rock Show, Comedy Central, VH-1, American Movie Classics, New York Undercover, The Graham Norton Effect and in sketches on Late Shows with both David Letterman and Conan O'Brien. Her engagements include Caesar's Palace, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, The Improv and The World Famous Laugh Factory. Also a regular member of the renown, all female comedy troupe The Italian Chicks, Mary has opened for Janeane Garofalo and Kevin Meaney.
A Fringe NYC Outstanding Solo Show Award Winner for her critically acclaimed sold out hit SCARED SKINNY, Mary Dimino is described as "riotously funny" by The Wall Street Journal, "utterly hilarious" by NYTheatre.com, and "a born ranconteur with exuberance and heart" by Curtain Up. Her book, based on her original autobiographical solo show Scared Skinny No More, was released this April by Sunbury Press. Her latest solo show BIG DUMMY debuted to a sold out run at The Player's Theater in The 2013 New York International Fringe Festival.
On stage she played the Maid of Honor in Tony and Tina's Wedding and had a featured part in the Off-Broadway musical, Surprise. Mary Dimino is a comedy contributor for The Huffington Post. Her new solo show BIG DUMMY made its world debut in August 2013 in The New York International Fringe Festival.
