Come together, with our water loving community, to watch this powerful and inspiring film that follows Norm Hann as he paddles through 400km of untouched B.C. wilderness to draw attention to and awareness of the oil industry's environmental impacts.
The installation of an oil pipeline, in B.C., directly impacts all of us along the Pacific Coast. This issue is perhaps the most important environmental issue in B.C. history. A catastrophic oil spill could reach beyond borders and impact much of the Pacific Northwest Coastline. This is our opportunity, as Washingtonians, to get educated on the risks, learn of ways we can protect our beautiful coastline, and see what one man is capable of when he takes a STAND against a huge oil company.

When & Where
The Attic Learning Community
At the Attic, everything we do, we believe in challenging the status quo of what is possible in education. We believe in thinking differently. The way we challenge the status quo is by stoking the flame of the child's intrinsic motivation, focusing on learning- versus teaching, removing grades and testing-which only narrow a child's focus, providing a safe place for taking risks, asking questions, working as teams.
The Attic children are curious, creative, innovators who see themselves as life long learners. Our graduates leave with a strong sense of self, armed with the confidence to lead, work on teams, problem solve and think critically. Our graduates have been accepted into the colleges of their choice and have received over $1.5M in merit scholarships combined.
We offer a unique educational experience for children ages 3 -18, one which supports a sense of self, a passion for learning, community, and childhood through our K-12 program and the Field & Forest Outdoor Preschool program.
