Description

Stamp Harriet Tubman On History

Saturday, June 22, 2019

2:00pm to 6:00pm

Non-Member Family: $20

Member Family: $20

This event is for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Up to four (4) members of a family may attend per ticket. Each group of 4 will make one stamp. Additional stamps can be purchased for $20 each.
Handle is 3D printed, stamp is laser engraved.

Join us for a family friendly event celebrating Harriet Tubman! Learn and see how the Harriet Tubman stamp is made. You will assemble your own 3D printed handle and laser cut stamp that you can take home. Bring your own $20 bills to stamp and keep. There will also be a short performance of the show "Harriet Tubman Herself" by Christine Dixon.

Meet Dano Wall, the artist who came up with the idea for the Harriet Tubman stamp in order to express his disappointment over the decision of the Treasury Secretary that Harriet Tubman's image would not make it on to the $20 bill until 2028.
