Event description
A celebration of nautical heritage with traditional craft, food, music and stories.

About this Event

Stages & Stories and the 12th Annual Wooden Boat Museum Annual General Meeting will bring together tradition bearers, heritage enthusiasts, anyone and everyone to experience nautical crafts, taste traditional foods and share stories of days gone by.

Try your hand at tying knots, knitting nets, hooking rugs, caulking boats and a variety of other traditional skills. Hop aboard a motor boat or learn to scull a punt. Drop into the colourful stages for a taste of traditional local foods like fish n’ brewis, toutons, fishcakes, baked beans and homemade bread with molasses. End the day with a home-cooked meal followed by an open-mic heritage circle of stories, recitations, music and more at the historic Society for United Fishermen Lodge no. 2.

Event kicks off with a Meet and Greet at the Wooden Boat Museum on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday with talks and WBMNL Annual General Meeting.

$80/person. Members receive 10% off. [Become a Member].
