Event description

Description

The Charles Koch Institute has developed a Vision for our Network that is founded upon “The Framework for a Free and Open Society.” The Framework, “…helps individuals solve problems and capture opportunities by applying these concepts in their lives, organizations, and societies. The holistic application of this framework enables individuals to better evaluate whether a proposed public policy or other action is in harmony with the principles of free societies, and therefore best improves well-being.” For additional information on the Framework, you can visit its website here.

Working with the team at CKI, the Grassroots Leadership Academy has developed several sessions that will walk you through our Network’s vision – our “why.” During this time, you will learn some of the key terms and concepts that inspire free-market economic thinking, and then see how the Framework for a Free and Open Society can help you share the ideas of freedom with friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Our network’s goal is to ensure all staff have completed this training by the end of this year and there are three training sessions total. The first will be a half-day at AFPF’s offices in Arlington. The second two trainings will each be 90 minute sessions scheduled later in the fall.
