Summit Technology Academy Open House 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Sessions:

6:30-7:00 PM - "Early Planners" Session for Middle School Students and Parents

Students and parents (Middle school and freshman parents and students) who are interested in learning how to prepare early for STA courses and programs will learn about STA pathways, STA courses, and STA Signature Programs that are available for juniors and seniors in high school. 7:15-7:45 PM - Missouri Innovation Campus (MIC) Presentation

Students who take one of the MIC early college degree aligned courses at Summit Technology Academy their junior year AND have a 3.0 unweighted GPA/95% attendance may also choose to participate in a university partnership program called Missouri Innovation Campus (MIC), in which students begin to earn a bachelor’s degree while still in high school.

International Baccalaureate Career-Related Program (IBCP) - Main Commons Area

In conjunction with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at one of the Lee’s Summit high schools, students can participate in the IBCP program that allows students to combine the rigor of IB courses at Lee’s Summit high schools with career-related studies at STA. Cerner Scholars Presentation - Room D201

Students who have taken at least one semester of Software Development, Network Engineering, or Cybersecurity at Summit Technology Academy or have gained significance networking, programming, or cybersecurity skills at their own sending school can apply to work in a semester or year-long unpaid internship at Cerner. Kansas University Degree in 3 (KUD3) - Room C102

Students who take Medical Interventions/Biomedical Innovations or Allied Health at Summit Technology Academy AND have a 3.0 unweighted GPA/95% attendance may choose to participate in a university partnership program called KU Degree in 3 (KUD3), in which students begin to earn a bachelor’s degree while still in high school.
