St. Mary's Regional Medical Center - Childbirth Education Class
Tue, October 24, 2017, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM CDT
The one-day Childbirth Education Class from St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center helps prepare parents for the birth and care of their new arrival.
Our childbirth class utilizes a video program to explain anatomy, labor and medical procedures in a way that’s easy to understand. The class incorporates birth experiences and stories of real families while presenting the most current guidelines and information.
You will learn:
- What to expect during delivery (including Cesarean)
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Which anesthesia techniques are available
- Newborn care and labor procedures
You’ll also get a tour of The BirthPlace at St. Mary’s, with its spacious, private maternity suites.
We encourage you to attend this class with your birth partner (only one ticket needed).
Speakers: Anna Ritter, RN, IBCLC; Tina Bridges, RN; Shelley Rauh, RN; Pam Baggett, Certified Dietician
Location: St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Classroom C (bottom floor of hospital)
