Event description

Description

Are you curious about St. John’s, the Episcopal Church, or what the media has taken to calling “progressive Christianity?” You’re not alone! Gini, our Rector, will lead a short, two-week small group to explore the Episcopal Church, St. John’s, and how they both fit in to the bigger story of God and Christianity. Bring your questions, your curiosity, and a desire to share interesting conversation with others! This is perfect preparation for membership in the parish, and/or for confirmation in the Episcopal Church if you are interested. (Confirmation will be Saturday, November 2nd at the National Cathedral.) We will meet in the conference room and chapel (downstairs, accessed from the office doors on Potomac Street), Saturday October 5th and October 12th, starting at 9:00 and ending promptly by 2:00. Each day will include lunch. Everyone is welcome! (Note: the course is designed as a two-session course, but if you cannot attend both Saturdays, you are still welcome to register. Just please let us know which day you will not be there.)

There is no charge for the course, but we are happy to receive donations to help cover the cost of food!
