Your child's safety is important and we created an event to educate you on infant/child CPR & Car Seats. If your child stopped breathing or started choking, would you know what to do? Do you have questions about your child's security in their car seat? Where the straps or the chest clip should be positioned?
Brandi Pawliuk of Dr. Bones CPR is a R.N., a mom and certified CPR Instructor. She creates a professional setting with state-of-the-art equipment (the same equipment used by the Heart & Stroke Foundation) while gearing instruction towards caregivers such as parents and grandparents.
You will learn:

§ Response to Infant and Child Choking
§ Hands on practice with Infant and Child CPR dummy
Trudy Slaught is a Car Seat Technician, mother of 2, on the board of directors for Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada and contributing author to the national curriculum for Car Seat Technicians. Trudy will do a presentation on car seat safety with time for question and answers.
Our venue sponsor Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club is a 22,000 sq ft premier Health Club with a strong family focus and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Each participant will receive a special gift from SVAC!
Childcare is available at Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club 2200 sq. feet playcare with ball pits, tunnels, crafts and story telling for an $11 for the duration of our workshop. Please inform us if you require childcare, the number and age(s) of your child(ren). Child care fees are paid directly to Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club the day of. Infants are welcome to stay with mom/parents during the workshop at no cost if you prefer.
Please Note: Playcare is a snack free environment for your child's safety. If your child requires a snack they may come out playcare and eat in the common area with you.
