The SSJ EYH Sleep Out is returning to Southampton for it's third year and the night promises to be filled with entertainment and fun before we get down to the serious business of bedding down for the night.
Sleep Out is an event of two halves; music, food and entertainment will be provided and then we will all attempt to Sleep Out for the night and experience a little of what the 83,000 homeless young people across the UK face every night. You can see a video of last year's event here: https://youtu.be/daos1hUlJZ4
We hope that everyone who attends will raise a minimum of £250 sponsorship- all of the money raised at this event will go towards helping SSJ continue to support local, vulnerable, young people to escape the cycle of homelessness, by providing accommodation alongside skills and education based training.
Come and Sleep Out with us and you'll really make a difference to local, vulnerable young people.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This event is for people 18+. However, if you are from a group or organisation working with people under 18 and would like to get involved with SleepOut please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be able to support you in hosting your own SleepOut
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is very little parking at the venue. We are trying to source further parking options for the evening, and there are a number of public car parks near by, however we recommend using public transport, car pooling, or being dropped off by someone.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
You will be provided with food (including breakfast) and entertainment. Protective sleep sacks will be available, but you will need to bring a sleeping bag and we recommend layers to sleep in- Don't forget your hat and gloves!
The event is a no-alcohol event
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please contact email@example.com via email or @TheSamBax on Twitter and we will be able to answer any of your questions.
