It is with great pleasure we invite you to the Santa Rosa Junior College 2nd UndocuGrad Conference!
This year’s theme is “Navigating the World of Undergrad and Graduate School While Undocumented.” The conference will provide current undocumented undergraduate students the opportunity to learn the steps to transfer to a four year university, address questions regarding the graduate school application process, and develop an understanding on how to start their own business.
We are happy to announce that Dr. Alberto Ledesma, author of the well-known book Diary of a Reluctant Dreamer; Undocumented Vignettes from a Pre-American Life, will be our keynote speaker this year. Along with his many expertises, he will bring to our conference in-depth knowledge on the opportunities and rigors of applying to graduate school programs.
During our 2018 UndocuGrad Conference, presenters from as far as UCLA, joined us to share their knowledge and experiences via workshops and presentations. Throughout these workshops, students from San Jose, Monterrey Bay, and multiple other locations were exposed to the tools necessary to take the next steps in their educational endeavors. Furthermore, five students found out that they qualified for the adjustment of their immigration status. We hope to provide similar outcomes to other students through our volunteer immigration attorneys this year; who will provide free consultations.
Please sign up and invite others to come with you. Continental breakfast will be provided. Depending on funding, lunch may be on your own.
