Move your body.  Move your brain.

Sample a uniquely American dance hobby that can change your life.  You'll be Square Dancing before you can say "dosido."

  • No experience necessary
  • No partner required - bring your spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends, neighbors, co-workers
  • All ages welcome
  • No special outfit needed

There's a to kick it off.  Check it out, then register for this event as a follow-up.

Is there a charge?

First-timers are free.  Please register at and come on out.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

We've found that 8 years of age and older is probably the best age to start, but we've had enthusiastic, attentive children as young as just under 5 years old so that is probably the lower limit for those who will be able to participate.  Younger children usually are not attentive enough to handle the instruction.  They're still welcome to come and watch as long as they will not be disruptive to others.

Is this the same square dancing I did in school (and likely hated)?

Probably not, unless you had a Modern Western Square Dance Caller come to your school to teach the class.  If your Gym/PE teacher taught it, most likely they did a very limited, much older form of square dancing.  What we do is Modern Western Square Dancing and it's done to 1950s/1960s music, old and new Country music, and modern/current music.  The 1920s-1940s music is pretty much gone.  Remember, as they say, "Variety is the spice of life!"

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is a parking lot on the east side of the church that is accessible from 4th St.  By the way, the parking there is free.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Just bring yourself and your friends.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Send e-mail to or click the [Contact the Organizer] button on the side of this event's page.

Is my registration transferrable?

You didn't pay for it yet, so just cancel it, but we'll miss having you.  Please have others register with their own information.  You only pay at the door so you don't have to worry about a refund.

Can I update my registration information?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Nah, print it, bring it on your phone/tablet, or forget it at home... we really just want you to come have fun!

What is the refund policy?

We rely on the small amount of money requested per person at the door to help pay for the venue and the caller.  Just remember, it's free to register, but if you do, please come.

The name on the registration doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

See "Is my registration/ticket transferrable" above...

I didn't come to the last one. Is that okay?

This is a short series of lessons and while there will be constant review, we ask that you attend each week so you don't miss anything.  If you can't make a week, let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate you.

Where can I find information about these Square Dance Lessons online?
