SQLGeeks Meet-Up, Hyderabad – May 7, 2016, Saturday at Microsoft (Half Day)

Dear SQL Geek, cordially invites you to next dose of SQLGeeks Meet-Up on 7 May 2016 (Saturday) at Microsoft Hyderabad from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. This is a free community event.

Session details are as follows:

Session 1: Real-Time Operational Analytics in SQL Server 2016.

Abstract: When we talk about analytics most of the time we think about Datawarehouse. Which is efficient for complex analytics but we cannot do any real-time analytics on it. SQL Server 2016 supports real-time operational analytics both on disk-based and memory-optimized tables. Now We can run analytics queries directly on your operational workload. In this session I will demonstrate how to implement this. Trust me it is pretty simple and you will love to implement this in your project.

Speaker: Sandip Pani (SSG)

Session 2: Introduction to Powershell For DBAs

Abstract: This session speaks about necessity of automation at workplace. Introduces one of important automation tools available in windows platform - Windows PowerShell. This will be an introductory session on PowerShell basics and will include couple of cool demos in the lines of getting information from multiple windows and sql instances and notifying end users. This introductory session will set right precedence about importance of automation to varied stakeholders including DBA's, administartors, developers and BI experts.

Speaker: Jayaraj Vemula (Bank Of America)

Session 3: SQL Server 2016: Temporal Tables

Abstract: SQL Server 2016 introduces support for system-versioned temporal tables as a database feature that brings built-in support for providing information about data stored in the table at any point in time rather than only the data that is correct at the current moment in time. Temporal is a database feature that was introduced in ANSI SQL 2011 and is now supported in SQL Server 2016. In this session I will be talking about various use cases of temporal tables.
