You are cordially invited to join us in another Norton AFB Museum's Evening at the Museum as we welcome our distinguished guest speaker, Major Brian Shul, USAF (Ret), Pilot of the world's fastest and highest flying spy plane, the remarkable Lockheed SR-71 BLACKBIRD. We are privileged to host this event in the fabulous San Bernardino International Airport's Departure Terminal overlooking the expansive flighline below the majestic San Bernardino Mountains. You will be taken on a trip of a lifetime as Major Shul relives some of his exciting and interesting missions flown in this one of a kind aircraft known as the "Habu".
A little known secret in the Norton AFB's past: The Base was the main supply point for all spares in the Blackbird Program. Tucked away in an obscure warehouse, this all important facility and the men and women assigned, had an incredibly important job ensuring whatever was needed to keep the Habu flying was always available.
There is a small display reflecting the SR-71 Program at Norton inside the Norton AFB Museum. Should you have any memorabilia you would care to donate to the Museum for display, please see a member of the Museum's Board of Directors.
Ticket sales information is available on this website and event seating is open. Advanced discounted ticket sales is also available or purchased at the door for a slightly higher fee. Appetizers will be provided and a no-host bar will be available.
The Norton AFB Museum is a non-profit organization and all proceeds will go to help defray operating costs and to offset the expenses of these events. Questions? Please contact the Museum at email@example.com or (909) 382-7307.
