what is led light therapy?:
LED Red Light Therapy ("LED") lighting uses calming and relaxing light rays that stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, proteins with a high elasticity level that are used to repair damaged tissue, diminish lines, creases, furrows and crow’s feet. LED also increases circulation by relaxing the blood vessels in the treated areas, allowing the blood to flow more easily. This further helps to prevent and treat wrinkles as increased circulation encourages the production of new skin cells. The light also refines pore size and skin texture without painful peels, surgery or injections, and has been proven to fade age spots, scars, and control melasma and hyper pigmentation.
HOW SKIN REJUVENATION WORKS:
The initial effects are clearer, brighter and tighter feeling skin; while the long-term effects are improved skin clarity, tone and texture, reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles (as well as the puffiness). It also minimizes the effects from environmental damage and chronological aging. Overtime LED will help with the restoration of tired-looking skin, diminished freckles, age spots and acne, evened out pigmentation, it minimizes the size of facial pores, improves the appearance of weathered skin, it also helps improve the skin's supportive structure and last but not least it stimulates collagen synthesis. There is NO down time with LED because there is no UV light involved.
how it works on ACNE:
Thirty (30) minute treatment of continuous waves that is designed to repair damaged skin and significantly reduce the propionibacterium acnes and the bacteria responsible for causing inflammatory acne vulgaris. Fifteen minutes (15) of blue light which enters the sebaceous glands and singlet oxygen is created; which in turn kills the bacteria. Next, you're exposed to fifteen minutes (15) of red light; which aids in the healing process of the skin and prevents infection and scarring from occurring. The blue light and red light in conjunction with the LED light bar (420nm violet sectrum) helps remove the bacteria that causes acne and generates cellular activity; which helps deal with age spots & sun damage.
Two (2) times a week for the first four (4) weeks consisting of ten (10) treatments, which are dependent on the age and condition of the skin, the best results are achieved over a 12 week period. Of course, results depend on the length of treatments and the original condition of the skin being treated. If maintenance treatments are discontinued then you will see a gradual loss of will occur overtime, as it does with normal aging skin.

When & Where
Judith E. Taranto, RN
Growing up I had acne, acne scars and large pores and after countless treatments and loads of money wasted; I stopped going because I was so discouraged with my results. It would kill me to pay $800 for just one (1) session! I was paying for their "Hollywood" reputation, their employees and their overhead.
As a nurse, I felt that there had to be more affordable treatments available to patients with needs similar to mine. So, I decided to do my own research on the treatments I was receiving and discovered that the treatments could be done for less. Which is how I came about opening SPV Therapy. I wanted to offer the same quality treatments with a boutique upscale feel but at affordable prices.
My objective being to increase my client's self-esteem; because when your self-esteem is increased, you start a path of wellness and improve your overall health.
"What I love about my spa is that people feel better about how they look. I like to hear from my clients 'I like the way I look and feel'." - Judith
