Digital Arts + Technology (DA+T)

The DA+T (Digital Arts + Technology) Program is designed for members who wish to develop marketable skills in graphic design, digital photography, music production, and videography. Our program allows aspiring digital artists to develop their area of interest and can prepare them for employment or transfer to a four-year institution. For those already working in the field, our trainings are a great way to stay relevant in their field by continuing to build their knowledge and technical skills.

 People Projects + Leadership (PP+L)

The PP+L (People, Projects + Leadership) program is a Career Focus Area (CFA) whose goal is to empower youth with opportunities to expand, explore and express their ideas and build their workforce readiness skills through projects. Employers and higher education institutions are increasingly searching for self- motivated and  critical-thinking team members. We aim to support our members in their development of the skills required to be these problem-solvers. By actively engaging in the ideation, coordination and implementation of a project, members gain the soft skills that will translate to their careers and that are necessary to be active agents in their community.

Web + Information Technology (W+IT)

The W+IT (Web + Information Technology) program focuses on preparing members who are able to configure software to meet the needs of organizations. Members acquire skills related to the selection, creation, application, integration, and administration of computing technologies. This program prepares members to become skilled in problem solving and programming, networks and communications systems, databases, Internet and Web technologies, security and project management, and have a strong grasp of business concepts and technical communication.

 NEST Community

We don’t just want to train members for jobs in the 21st century, we want to create a welcoming community. We hold several programs that run during the Spring to encourage members to socialize, establish networks, and have some fun to inspire creativity!
