Spring Training 2017
Sat, April 29, 2017, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM CDT
You've held elections, your new board is excited to begin making plans for the new year, but you aren't sure where to begin. The Arlington Council of PTAs encourages you to bring your entire board to this day of free training. The two classes being offered will focus on laying a solid foundation for your board, increase communication skills, and start the year off right.
Orange, gold, green or blue? How do these colors relate to your life, habits, values, and feelings? Experience an exciting, interactive adventure into your personality while learning how to enhance relationships and bring out the best in each other!
- Improve relationships at home, school and work
- Discover why you act, communicate and feel the way you do.
- Learn how different personalities can work together and why this is important to your PTA’s success!
The material in this workshop promotes responsibility, respect, and building on each other’s strengths. It can be applied to all aspects of your personal and professional life, allowing you to improve your communication skills and live and work with others in a more harmonious, productive environment.
Foundations (Part2) Serving on a Local Board
Texas PTA asks that Part l be completed prior to attending Part ll, and that PTA Leaders bring a copy of the Part l completion certificate to the training.
Part ll: Serving on a Local Board is offered as an in-person training to PTA Leaders by Council PTAs. This class goes over the roles of each board member, best practices for a PTA, and red flags all board members should be aware of.
