Here's lots of important info about our Spring SOUP Event:
We're thrilled to announce our Spring Event is at COSI in downtown Columbus! Our theme for this SOUP is Community Empowerment. All attendees must RSVP here on Eventbrite before the event, and everyone should bring a $7 minimum cash donation to pay at the door (consider bringing a couple extra dollars for raffle tickets). Heads up: Parking is $5 if you choose to park in the COSI lot. The good news: Meters are free on Sundays!
We're not doing pre-pay tickets this time around. What you're doing here is guaranteeing your seat! We're getting back to the basics and making things simpler.
Why are we requiring RSVPs this time? After our last sold-out event at the Gateway Film Center—where we had to turn away a handful of guests—we learned many lessons, and we truly want our guest experience to be the best possible.
COSI has 300 seats available, and we're getting more food sponsors than ever... so let's make this the biggest and best SOUP yet! Grab your spot now! If something comes up and you can't make it, please be courteous and cancel your reservation. Any no-show means an empty seat and $7 less for our grant recipient... and let's be honest, that's not fun for anyone.
We'll be sure to keep you updated about event details via email, on our website, and on facebook... so keep connected! We are looking forward to sharing, learning, and funding projects that embrace community empowerment and, of course, have some fun with all of you on April 27th!
When & Where
Columbus SOUP is setting out to change how the Capital City thinks about philanthropy.
We harness our city’s strong community spirit to create events that connect people with local projects in need of grassroots funding. We encourage ideas, networking, and volunteerism to foster opportunities for community members to pool their own resources and invest in Columbus.
We live in a city that embraces good ideas, and Columbus SOUP provides a platform to share those ideas at the ground level and make connections that matter. Through quarterly community events, attendees pay a $7 minimum donation for dinner and a vote to fund projects that make our city a better place.
It’s a simple concept, but it can have a big impact.
Call it a kickstarter, crowdfunding, or a giving circle—no matter what you call it, we’d love for you to join us on this adventure we call Columbus SOUP.
