Event description

Description

Celebrate May Day and the coming of Spring with Ballets Russes on May 4th. We will hear a program of French and Russian classics performed on an instrument that embodies springtime, the harp. Berklee alum Olivia Fortunato will play Chopin, Borodin, Satie, and more (full program coming soon).

6:30 pm Pre-concert reception (cash bar)
7:15 pm Concert begins
8:30 pm Q&A with the performer

Of note - this will be our second-to-last event at the historic Algonquin Club until at least 2020. The Club will be closing in the fall for two years of renovations, so don't miss this chance to take in the gorgeous interiors and atmosphere one more time!

Olivia Fortunato began studying the harp at age 5 and went on to graduate from the Berklee College of Music. She has won numerous competitions, including the Berklee Concerto Competition, and was a featured artist at the Boston Harp Festival, American Harp Society Conference, and Camac Festival. While at Berklee, Olivia was a member of the Boston Harp Project and performed at the festival Internationale de Harpe in France.

Olivia currently resides in Manhattan where she teaches, regularly performs for recording sessions, orchestras, and musicals, and produces festivals at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Olivia is thrilled to perform her first solo concert in Boston since graduating in 2014.
