Spring Oratorio: Messiah
Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 7:30 PM (CDT)
Join the North Park University School of Music for their spring oratorio performance of Messiah. Under the direction of Dr. Julia Davids, North Park University student ensembles will perform this beloved masterpiece alongside special guest artists David Schrader, internationally acclaimed harpsichordist, and Baroque chamber music ensemble the Callipygian Players.
Prior to the performance, former North Park music professor and scholar Gregory Athnos will present a free lecture at 6:00 pm in Brorson Lounge, located on the first floor of Old Main. His insight promises to deepen and enrich your experience of George Frideric Handel's oratorio.
